The 2015 Mustang horsepower wars are officially in full swing. We’ve seen plenty of big numbers put down but every type of power adder out there. While they’ve already been in the 2015 Mustang supercharger game for a while, ProCharger is the latest to fire another big salvo in this unceasing battle for 5.0 horsepower supremacy.
With their HO system already a huge hit on the market, ProCharger has unleashed their Stage 2 system onto the 5.0 world. While some tuners have already pushed the HO system to over 700 rwhp, ProCharger knew that there would be plenty of Mustang horsepower freaks out there that will demand even more. They’re delivering, not only with a more capable setup, but also with one that has many features hardcore customers demand.
The Stage 2 system uses a dedicated 8-rib belt to drive anything from a P1-SC-1 to the awesome F-1 series of blowers. This means several things for 2015 Mustang owners. First and foremost is the ability to bolt on a ProCharger that can push your 5.0 to the 1,225-plus horsepower range. It also means that with a dedicated drive system, there’s a dedicated belt and tensioner assembly for the supercharger alone. This results in a shorter belt, better belt wrap, and longer belt life.
Customers opting for the Stage 2 system will also benefit from a much larger air-to-air intercooler. This intercooler is 75-percent larger than the HO system intercooler. This means greater cooling efficiency for the additional boost that owners are going to cram down the throat of their Coyote powered Mustang GTs.
While this may sound like a lot of hardcore hardware, ProCharger has kept street enthusiasts in mind here. There’s no cutting, trimming, or special fabrication required. The Stage 2 system includes a handheld tuner from Diablosport. ProCharger has spent countless hours on the dyno, and the street to ensure a reliable and safe tune, that gives the power owners expect, with the drivability they demand. The system is completely reversible as well, so if you sell your car, or decide for some reason you no longer want the ProCharger, you can remove it without leaving any signs that it was ever there to begin with.
Whether you’re looking to just have the bragging rights at the next cruise night or test ’n tune, or you’re planning to blow away your competition at the strip this year, if you own a 2015 Mustang GT, ProCharger can help you do all of the above.
