ProCharger Honors Its 2010 Champions At The PRI Show

NMRA Real Street champ Tim Matherly collected his fourth series title in 2010.

Spanning nearly every sanctioning body in the sport, their racers have claimed 50 series championships in the last four years, claiming race wins and national records en masse along the way.

In addition to showcasing their F4 supercharger at this years Performance Racing Industry show in Orlando, the folks at ProCharger took the opportunity to honor many of their dedicated racers who powered their way to season crowns in 2010 in several different racing series.

On the NMRA side of things, the ProCharger-powered champions simply need no introduction. John Urist completed a late season, down-to-the-wire rally at the NMRA Finals over incoming points leader John MacDonald to seal his sixth Super Street Outlaw crown. Meanwhile, in Drag Radial, Jason Lee again dominated the category with his F1-R powered ’86 Mustang, running a best of 7.94 to earn another crown despite some heated competition. And in Real Street, Tim Matherly drove his Mustang sporting a P1SC-2 unit to his fourth championship in the series.

Out west, Kevin Young earned the PSCA Wild Street title in 2010 with his third-gen Camaro that features an F1-R under the hood and hammered out a best of 7.85 at 182 MPH this season on his way to the crown.

In OSCA EZ Street, Noel Borg earned the series title with his sharp Proline-powered second-gen Camaro that sports an F-2 with a best of 7.88 at 188 MPH.

Another racer who needs no introduction is east coast runner Chris Evans, whose F-1R powered beast dominated the 275 radial scene in 2010, earning titles at Maryland International Raceway, the Ultimate Outlaws Shootout, and the 275 crown at Cecil County Dragway, setting the quarter and eighth mile records in the process at 4.89 and 7.59 respectively.
