The 2015 Mustang has been on the street for less than two months and we’re already seeing a flood of aftermarket support for the car. The latest power enhancer to be released is a very big deal, and it’s a 2015 Mustang GT supercharger kit from ProCharger.
This is an all new kit, designed to work specifically with the packaging of the 2015 Mustang. The kit features an all new billet aluminum bracket design, and compact belt drive system. With the P-1SC-1 head unit, this system allows for easy servicing of the belts, and doesn’t require removing the supercharger to replace the belt or supercharger pulley. The company says with the P-1SC-1 HO kit, on just 8-psi, horsepower gains of 45-percent are possible. That should put any ’15 GT deep into the 600-plus horsepower zone, on pump gas, with parts that ProCharger says most enthusiasts can install in around five hours.
For those who crave even more power, or are building an engine for a ’15, a stage two system will be available shortly after the first of the year. ProCharger will offer that system with a larger, thicker, air-to-air intercooler, and a dedicated eight-rib belt drive system. Those upgrades will allow owners to install anything from the P-1SC-1 supercharger, all the way up to the big bad F-1R. Step up to the F-1R, and your Mustang could pack 1,225 hp under the hood according to ProCharger. That is, of course provided you’ve properly fortified the bottom end of the engine.
The HO system will begin shipping a week before Christmas, on 12/18/14, and the Stage II system about a month later on 1/15/15. If you’ve been really nice this year, maybe you can get Santa to spring for a new HO system and you can spend Christmas morning bolting on some big power.
We’re sure that by the time spring rolls around we’ll be seeing plenty of cars at the track, and on the street wearing these kits. To find out more, or to get your order in now, contact ProCharger at the number below, or check out the ProCharger web-site.
