We caught up with Kelly Clouser of IMPACT! Racing and discussed how things have been going since their acquisition by MasterCraft Safety and their latest products for the upcoming season. According to Clouser, not much has changed in the way that the products are manufactured. “Our helmets are still made in the USA, in our factory in Indiana, with all of the same high grade materials as before.”

Clouser wanted to show us the newest product in the IMPACT! Racing line, but the product has not been released and they did not have one at the show, however Kelly gave us the scoop on the IMPACT Super Helmet. “It’s 100% carbon fiber exterior construction where our previous models have been a carbon fiber exterior with a carbon kevlar interior. The Super Helmet is Snell 2010 and FIA 8860 rated and the price tag will be very affordable when compared with other 100% carbon fiber constructed helmets.”

IMPACT! Racing may not have had the 100% carbon fiber ‘Super Helmet’ at the show, but they did have the 1320 helmet that meets the Snell 2010 certification standards. “This is the entry level helmet that offers the same safety rating and features as our other helmets, but because it’s exterior is fiberglass construction, the helmet weights a little more.
