Pre-Order Weld Racing's All-New Venom Wheel From Shelby

If you caught a glimpse of the all-new 2017 Shelby GTE Mustang back in September of this year, you probably didn’t notice it was rockin’ the OEM Ford Performance Pack style wheels when it first debuted. That’s because the all-new wheels from Shelby American picture above are optional on the all-new Shelby GTE.

But like many of the previous Shelby wheels made by Weld Racing in the past, these wheels are also available for purchase for your Mustang from the Shelby Store. Designed and manufactured exclusively for the 2005-2017 Mustang by Weld Racing, and available from the Shelby Store, the latest offering from Shelby and Weld dubs this wheel the ‘Shelby Venom Wheel’.

The all-new Shelby Venom wheels are available in a multitude of sizes, finishes, offsets, and more–each combination having its own specific weight.

According to Shelby and Weld, these wheels use a “flow-formed technology,” making them lighter and stronger than many wheel options on the market today.

“Flow form wheels are stronger, lighter, increase shock load resistance, and offer increased flex tolerances verses a cast manufactured wheel,” Weld Racing said. “The primary difference between a cast and flow-formed wheel is the thickness of the wheel barrel. The flow forming process increases the strength of the aluminum allowing the barrel to be produced much thinner and lighter than a conventional cast aluminum wheel.”
