The Woodward Dream Cruise is one of (if not the) largest one-day car shows in the entire world. And it is all about American muscle. Taking place on the famed Woodward Avenue in Detroit, Michigan, it is a show on the bucket list of every red-blooded American car enthusiast who wants to see literally thousands of classic American cars lining the road.
This year, Mustang Evolution reports that Ford itself will be putting on a massive display at the corner of 9 Mile rd and Woodward Avenue, and promoters expect at least 700 Mustangs to show up for this one day event, judging from the pre-registration numbers.
That means you can expect to see pretty much every type of Mustang from every model year from 1964 ½ all the way through the new 2012 BOSS 302 models. In fact, Ford will have several BOSS 302 Mustangs on display near the Mustang Garage. Here, owners of 2005-2012 Mustangs will be able to buy, and have installed, official Ford Racing Performance Parts on their cars.
There will also be a display of Ford’s crate engine offerings, including the new Coyote crate engine. And then of course there are the miles upon miles of classic American cars that will line Woodward Avenue like they do every year. It is a true gearhead pilgrimage, and this year it looks like Mustangs will be the dominating force, and it isn’t even the 50th anniversary of the pony car yet!
