Sometimes the old school tricks and modifications are best left to the classic rides, but Fastlane Motorsports have made sure that everyone in sight will take notice of their Pro-Street esque GT500 clone with the addition of a sweet polished 8-71 Blower catching the breeze atop this ‘Stang’s hood. The large diameter Carrol Shelby wheels threw us for a loop at first, but after all, this car was built to turn heads and make a fashion statement, not to become another commonplace S197.

With a staggered stance and old school supercharged power, it would’ve been acceptable and almost expected for the car to be pretty bare bones, but it’s the complete opposite. While there’s many different interpretations to the term “street car” we’re told that that’s what the owner Melvin wanted, so all the creature comforts including power steering, A/C and more were kept on board. Underneath The Blower Shop‘s finest unit is a 5.4L Mod-motor with 4 valve heads, retaining a factory 2007 computer, harness and fuel injection system working in conjunction with the Enderle Fuel Injection hat. Unfortunately due to unforeseen wheel backspacing issues with a Brembo setup, they had to use a smaller set of Aerospace brakes.

It’s not GT500 through and through though, as this show-stopper started off life as a badly burnt up 2007 Mustang GT that Fastlane gave a new lease on life. Be sure to stay tuned for the awesome wide-open-throttle video that’s in the works once the car gets up onto the dyno rollers for a complete dyno tune, aiming to send 800-900 horsepower to the rear hides. Will Fastlane reach their goal of building a 900HP monster that’s also an attention getter? I think they’ve already fulfilled the latter, lets see some numbers outta this ‘Stang boys.
