Melling has added two oil pumps that address oiling issues frequently found in Ford 4.6L and 5.4L 3-valve and 4-valve engines. The M340HV and M360HV high volume oil pumps provide 20% additional oil flow to assist in increasing the engine’s oil pressure by filling the additional clearances created by wear. As a result the pumps exceed original equipment manufacturers specifications to meet the demanding lubrication needs of those engines.
The pumps have been designed by Melling engineering as drop-in replacements to the original equipment oil pumps. No modifications to the engine, pickup tube assembly or other components are required. All the features that make our stock replacement M340 and M360 oil pumps perform so well have been utilized in the new high volume pumps this includes the coated cast iron cover plates.
The M340HV is a 20% higher volume version of the M340 stock replacement oil pump. In comparison the M360HV is a 20% higher volume version of the M360 stock replacement oil pump. In addition, the M360HV and M360 pumps have a 20 psi higher pressure relief setting in relation to the M340HV and M340 oil pumps respectively.
Every pump is performance tested after it is machined, cleaned, and assembled at our Jackson, MI facility. Melling is global supplier of engine parts and is ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 certified.
