Maximum Motorsports is proud to release their new rear lower control arms for 1979-2004 Ford Mustangs. These control arms reduce the deflection and rear-axle movement that cause wheel hop in stock Mustangs.
Official Release:
Maximum Motorsports’ new Sport-series rear lower control arms increase traction and reduce wheel hop in 1979-2004 Mustangs producing up to 400 rear-wheel horsepower.
Ideal for all-around street performance and comfort, the Sport series is an affordable upgrade from the factory’s soft, rubber bushings and flexible, stamped-steel control arms. Maximum Motorsports engineers combined a large-diameter, tubular-steel arm with unique urethane bushings to reduce the deflection and rear-axle movement that cause wheel hop in stock Mustangs. Three-piece bushings allow the suspension articulation necessary for proper handling and ride quality, while reducing the possibility of damage to torque boxes.
Two versions are available for 1979-2004 Mustangs. The nonadjustable Sport series is priced from $189.97. The adjustable-ride-height Sport model starts at $289.97. Both designs are identical to Maximum’s popular Extreme-Duty control arms for higher-horsepower cars, other than the substitution of bushings for expensive spherical bearings and, consequently, lower Sport pricing.
The spring perch accepts either stock or aftermarket springs. Built-in swaybar mounts fit stock and aftermarket swaybars. Control arms are black-powdercoated for corrosion resistance.
