Lightning Force Performance brings the goods to several forced induction applications in Ford’s lineup, including the GT500 and Mustang Cobra. The company’s new intercooler corrects heat soak and power loss problems found in the stock part, making your ride that much more capable in spite of hot ambient temperatures.
Official Release:
Lightning Force Performance recently released their highly anticipated Ford Intercooler Chiller Cores. As replacement intercoolers no longer available from Ford or Saleen, with the exception of GT500, these LFP Chiller Cores are filling a very problematic void with a superior product. The factory intercooler has inherent design flaws causing only a portion of the hot incoming air to be cooled while passing through the factory intercooler. One of these flaws is fluid getting clogged inside the cooling tubes causing water to stagnate and become hot which results in a much hotter IAT2 Temperature. In essence, the factory intercooler removes only a portion of the heat from the air charge which is why heat soak and power loss are common among Ford SVT and Saleen vehicles, especially during the hot summer months. The air charge is constantly monitored by the vehicles computer and has a direct impact on the engine timing which is essential in making horsepower. The LFP Chiller remedies this problem while providing other substantial benefits. Intercooler Chiller Cores are manufactured to application specific specifications for factory coolers inĀ 2003-2004 Ford SVT Cobra Mustang CS-000AE-45, 99-2000 Ford SVT Lightning CS-000AE-50 without recall, 2001-2004 Ford SVT Lightning/02-03 Harley D. pickup CS-000AE-43, 1999-2004 Saleen 9D-09018-02, 2007-2014 and Ford SVT GT500 CS-000AE-52. These are DIRECT REPLACEMENT components requiring no modification to the lower intake.
Features:
- Corrects issues of heat soak and power loss seen in factory intercoolers
- Direct replacements requiring no modification to the lower intake
