Less than a week to go before SEMA 2011 throws open its doors at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This gathering of gearheads and aftermarket companies is the largest in the nation, which means some of the wildest, coolest, and most expensive custom rides ever created will be on display. As always, we are looking forward to what the veterans of SEMA are bringing in an effort to upstage themselves.
Neil Tjin has teamed up once again with Universal Technical Institute and Ford to produce a one-of-kind 2012 Ford Mustang GT convertible. And they’re even going to give it away.
We’re lucky as Neil was kind enough to send us some teaser shots of the finished product, which has us pining for more. The Mustang GT packs Ford’s new 5.0 liter V8, which has had a Paxton supercharger attached to it to really bump up the horsepower. Stopping power comes courtesy of big Baer brakes, and the 20-inch wheels come from Forgestar.
What really should catch your eye though is the custom DuPont paint job. It’s really eye-catching, and we love the black accents along with the orange paint. As it turns out, this car will be part of the Tjin Roadshow 2012, and the UTI giveaway…which means one lucky winner will be given this car. We haven’t even seen it in all its glory, but we already know we want it, and we can’t wait to see it in person at SEMA 2011 next week.
