As if we are the least bit surprised, our favorite pony car has won the Vincentric Best Value in America Award in the Sports Car category for the sixth straight time in a row. That means from the S197 to the S550, the car has held this title.
Instead of focusing on just one category, the Vincentric Best Value in America Award factors in a few things to determine what car takes the cake in each category. The award is based on a variety of statistics of vehicle ownership such as financing, insurance, maintenance and, last but not least, rate of depreciation. For six long years, the 2015 Ford Mustang has come out on top as America’s Sports Car.
That’s not the only award that the newly designed S550 platform has won since its huge debut last year and likely not the last. Other awards given to the new Ford Mustang include:
- Detroit Free Press Car of the Year
- Cars.com Shoppers’ Choice Award
- Kiplinger’s Best New/Redesigned Car
- Edmunds.com Most Popular Awards: Entry Sport Car
- 2014 SEMA Show “Hottest Car”
- 2015 Automobile All-Star
- Car and Driver 10Best
- Road and Track “Performance Car of the Year” Finalist
- “North American Car of the Year” Finalist
- “World Car of the Year” Finalist
