It’s Mustang Girl Monday brought to you by Team Mustang Girls. This week the girls are hanging with Shelly Millar aka Mustang Shelly and her 2002 GT.

Shelly has been in love with Mustang’s since she can remember. She talked her parent’s into letting her get a job when she was 14 so she could start to save to buy her first Mustang. When she turned 16 Shelly was able to buy a 1996 V6 Mustang. She was so proud and did as much as she could to the car that came to be know as her starter Stang.

Once she graduated from High School Shelly traded it in and bought a brand new 2002 V6 Mustang. She started adding aftermarket upgrades and taking the car to shows. She was looking forward to showing it with her Dad and his ’66 Mustang, and her husband and his ’91 but unfortunately she was involved in an accident. Luckily it was not her fault and she was ok but the same can not be said for the Mustang.

This time Shelly tried something different and got a 1994 5.0 GT. Although she loved the car, she missed the later styling of the 99-04 cars. Her sister-in-law wanted a Mustang so she bought the ’94 and Shelly happened to come across her current love, a 2001 GT. The one owner car with only 20,000 miles on it was completely stock and had never seen a day of winter! It was love at first site and with a V8 on top of it!!

“Everywhere I go I am known as Mustang Shelly, always have been and always will be!! I will never not own a Mustang!!” Shelly’s dream is to have a second Mustang from the classic years to show as well. Just recently her family was looking for a new house and her main concern was parking for her Mustang and future Mustangs. She admits to being guilty of babying her car when it comes to things like that, but when she drives it, that is another story. She doesn’t mess around, she has the need for speed and plans to be the little old grandma racing the young kids someday!
