It’s Mustang Girl Monday brought to you by Team Mustang Girls. This week we catch up with Lisa Cook and her 1989 GT Mustang.
Lisa caught the Mustang bug from her father who was a die hard Ford fan. “I was the only girl in my class to drive a mustang and I was very proud.” Now 15 years later Lisa is still riding around in her baby. “It’s like my first child, it has 430 gears currently with a full spool but it doesn’t stop me from cruising the town on the weekends” says Lisa.
When she’s not cruising around town you may find Lisa at the dragstrip. Her GT runs a 347 with a 150 shot of nitrous, aluminum heads, trick flow intake, 26 pound injectors and C-4 transmission. In other words, Lisa goes really fast! Last year she made it in the low 7’s in the 1/8th mile with a stereo system and A/C hooked up. This year she’s making some adjustments and hopes to drop a second off her time! Keep an eye out for Lisa, she’ll go by quick!
Each week Team Mustang Girls features a different woman and her Mustang. If you’d like to see the past featured ladies from Mustang Girl Monday or submit your own Mustang story check out the Team Mustang Girls Facebook page.
