Since starting the Team Mustang Girls Facebook page, other females have been messaging with their own personal stories. Each one interesting and unique and revolving around the thing that brought everyone together- the Mustang. Courtney Barber, the driver for and founder of Team Mustang Girls, wanted to find a way to share the stories. As much as everyone loves a bikini model posing with a borrowed car, Barber thought it was even more appealing to see a real owner sharing their passion. And so began Mustang Girl Monday, which has spilled it’s way over from the Team Mustang Girls Facebook page to StangTV.
Since she was a young girl she has always had a passion for the Mustang. Her first Mustang was a 1989 5.0 GT Convertible that her mom bought for her. Since then she has owned several other Mustangs. But her favorite has always been her ROUSH Cobra. In 2009 she came across a Mustang club (Muscle Stangs of Miami) based in South Florida, and became a member right away.
On April 2011 the founder of the club handed over the club to Marante and made her President. After a few months, she formed a Board and has remained President since. Under Marante’s leadership the club went from having 80 members when she started to 300 registered members to date. Marante says its common to see a shocked look when potential members find out that a club is run by a woman.
In January 2012 Marante’s had a dream come true and she finally was able to meet Jack Roush at the Rolex 24 in Daytona.
Marante says loves going to the track, attending car show and events. “But most of all it’s the people and friendships that have been built thru the years with the members their families and the surrounding clubs”. Find her on Facebook at Muscle Stangs of Miami.
