In April of 1964, Ford introduced to the world the Mustang. The car would go on to become an American icon, and 48 years later it has fans on every continent and remains among the most influential cars of all time. With the 50th anniversary two years away, many Mustang fans are getting their affairs in order to celebrate five decades of their favorite Fords.
The Mustang Club of America is getting a jump on the celebrations, announcing their plans for the 50th anniversary bash. And to us, it sounds like a great time.
The Mustang Club of America is holding not one, but two celebrations. One will take place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada, the other at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. This way, the MCA hopes to bring together as many Mustang enthusiasts as possible. We think it is a brilliant idea. Both events will happen simultaneously, going from Wednesday, April 16th to Sunday, April 20th.
Other than the dates, we don’t have any details just yet. However, we expect car clubs, Ford, and many aftermarket vendors to be on hand for the celebration. And we hope to be there too. A celebration like this only comes around once in a lifetime. You don’t want to miss it, and neither do we.
