Thanks to technology and photography, auto enthusiasts have catapulted their hobby to the world wide web where they can proudly display their mechanical accomplishments to aid the world in viewing their modified masterpieces. The Mustang Club of America recently helped promote an online picture battle between Mustangs and Camaros and the finalists were announced through their website and Facebook page. With a simple click of a button, viewers were able to vote for their favorite rides. Finalists in each category were determined and in due time, these finalists will go head to head in possibly one of the largest online automotive competitions to date.
“This rivalry is the biggest in the race scene so it was extremely easy to feed on and get a lot of people involved. The Mustangs and Camaros had hundreds of cars enter and four finalists were selected by peer vote to represent each category of Best All Around, Best of Show, Best Race, and Best Old School. These cars will battle in an upcoming final competition and the winners will get bragging rights as to who has the best brand of automobile. The contest was really held to help get all auto enthusiasts to recognize each others efforts and to show a mutual love and passion for the automobile”, says Cory Nicholson who helped promote and coordinate the competition.
Finalists of the Mustangs include Jim Hyland with his 2012 Candy Red Metallic Coupe (Best All Around), Sheri and Matt Clarke with their 1965 Dupont Sparkle Gold Shelby GTK-950R (Best of Show), Rick Appleton with his 1966 Metal Flake Midnight Blue Coupe (Best Race), and Daniel Herberth with his 1973 Torch Red Convertible (Best Old School). All of these bad ponies have more than enough modifications and muscle to support their aggressive appearance. Ford enthusiasts should have no doubt in the representatives they have chosen to wage this war. Stay tuned to the Mustang Club of America’s website to cast your vote and to see if the Mustangs prevail in this epic battle that has raged for decades.
