Mark Williams Enterprises, one of the drag racing industrys’ leading chassis and driveline manufacturers, is celebrating its golden anniversary in 2014 after 50 years of serving racers with high quality components.
All the way back in 1964, Mark Williams went into business building race cars, and half a century later, what began as a small operation in the formative years of our sport has grown into one of the world’s leading suppliers of custom axles, driveshafts, rear end housings, gears, chassis components, and more. Now located in the Colorado Technical Center in the town of Louisville, Mark Williams Enterprises has established its reputation as not only a quality manufacturer, but as an innovator. The company was one of the earliest adopters of CAD/CAM software technology in its engineering of new products, and that, along with computerized management systems, has placed the company at the cutting edge of driveline and chassis technology.
The company’s technological resources include rapid prototyping, multiple CNC machine centers, conventional furnace and indiction heat-treating, extensive quality control equipment, and an exclusive Torsional Testing Device, which can apply 15,000 ft./lbs. of torque in computer-controlled cycles assist in development and testing of their driveshafts.
To add to that, all of Mark Williams’ design, engineering, and manufacturing processes take place in-house, providing the company unparalleled control over every phase of a products’ development, from start to finish, ensuring no stone is left unturned in the technology and the quality built into their components.
Mark Williams Enterprises manufactures a full range of racing axles, spools, rear end housings, steel, aluminum or carbon fiber driveshafts and disc brake kits. M-W also makes an assortment of chassis and driveline components at its Denver-area facility. All the parts required to set up 9” Ford, 12-bolt Chevy, 8.8 Ford, 8-3/4 Mopar and Dana 60 rear ends, including ring & pinion gears, Detroit Lockers, Posi-Traction differentials, and bearings are in stock at Mark Williams Enterprises.
