After owning over a hundred Mustangs through the years, Aaron Gramer had sought a clean Saleen for some time before he found one he really liked. He ran across this stock 1990 model with an S-trim Vortech for sale on one of the Saleen forums and struck a deal with the original owner for the 29,000 mile cream puff. The fully optioned ride is originally from California but the owners relocated to south Florida. The clean hatch was perfect for what Aaron had in mind; he just needed some more power.
The bottom end swings an Eagle crank and rods with Diamond pistons on the ends. This is topped with TFS Twisted Wedge heads, GT40 lower intake ported in house and a Hogan’s sheet metal upper. Joe specked a custom grind camshaft which was sourced from Bullet Cams. A Vortech YSI trim supercharger provides the boost for an estimated 700 RWHP. The fuel system was upgraded with a sleeper system from Glenns Performance including a front mount sump and dual Walbro pumps.
The interior is as clean as one would expect of a low mileage car and was given a through detailing during the build process which was right at five weeks. The only observable additions are the Anderson Ford Motorsport PMS and an Auto Meter shift light. The under hood area was cleaned and repainted as well a custom wire harness to clean up the area.
