There will be no shortage of customized Mustangs at the 2011 SEMA show in Las Vegas next week, that is for sure. Neil Tjin will be there with his Mustang, as will the retro-ride of a 23-year old from Nebraska. Richard Petty will be there too with his Signature Series Mustang, and Creations & Chrome is bringing a “Boy Racer” widebody Mustang to display at SEMA as well.
Well time to add Kenny Brown to this group, as the Mustang tuner has just sent out a preview of its Mustang GT-4T, which will make its world debut next week at the SEMA 2011.
The “Mango Tango” colored Mustang will debut with a host of performance and suspension improvements from Kenny Brown. This will include a twin-turbo system good for at least 550 horsepower from the 4.6 liter V8 under the hood. Yes, this looks to be a 2005-2009 vintage Mustang, which means no 5.0 liter V8. But there are definitely more 2005-09 Mustangs out there versus new 5.0 Mustangs, so from a sales standpoint, this makes a lot of sense.
The twin-turbo system won’t be the only upgrade though. Expect a full compliment of suspension upgrades, as well as Baer six-piston brakes and Weld RTS lightweight wheels. And being that this is a convertible Mustang, KB is also adding their Sport Rally Bar…just in case. It will be a nice change of pace from the 5.0 Mustangs we expect will flood SEMA this year, and we can’t wait to check it out next week.
