We are used to seeing crazy conversions, and here lies no exception. When first viewing the front of the Ford Mustang on Jalopnik, it had us thinking that it didn’t look so bad. Then we kept scrolling until we encountered a profile view, and we realize that this is no Mustang at all.
Clicking on the original article, it is listed as a “Replica Ford Mustang” brought to life from a Hyundai Coupe V6 GK. Meaning, it is basically a Hyundai Tiburon made to look like a Mustang. With that said, is it a Mustaron or a Tibustang? The listing says it has 90,000 km which equals to about 55,920 miles and is listed at 8,500 Euros equals to about $10,838 U.S. dollars.
Located in Seville, Spain, where modern Mustangs are seldom seen, this Tibustang is listed as “fully-equipped” meaning that it has a sun roof, a red interior, angel headlights, and climate control. Since the Mustang is a rare sight in Spain, someone was certainly dreaming big and went decided to go heavy on the bondo. What was paid to turn this Tiburon into a Mustang could have been used to import an actual Mustang. You know, the one that comes RWD, and if the person was feeling sassy, they could have splurged on a V-8 engine with a manual transmission.
This isn’t a mash-up we agree on, but to each their own, right?
