If you’re familiar with the folks at HP Tuners out of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, then you may know just how popular they are in the late model muscle car community. Plenty of V8-powered cars from The Big Three have relied on HP Tuners software for nearly two decades – and now – enthusiasts can add another power-plant variety to the growing list of vehicles supported. Late last month, our friends at HP Tuners announced that they will be the first tuning provider to provide tuning support to the all-new EcoBoost-powered 2017 Ford GT supercar. Many EcoBoost owners of the car and truck variety should keep their ears to the ground, as we can only expect great things from this announcement.
“With nearly 15 years of experience in providing enthusiasts with the software tools to enable full-spectrum tuning of factory ECUs, HP Tuners knows with certainty that we live amongst people for whom the Ford GT’s 647 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque rating, and 216mph top speed, simply aren’s enough. So for those who want more boost, the ability to tweak anti-lag settings, launch control, and virtually anything else,” said Jay Payson of HP Tuners in its press release. With heads high for the all-new Ford GT supercar’s capabilities, we can safely assume that HP Tuners has the intent to provide tuning support for other EcoBoost-powered platforms; such as the all-new 2017 F-150, F-150 Raptor, Explorer and more. Keep an eye out folks as we bring you updates from our friends at HP Tuners.
