Whiteline has long been developing their parts for cars that run on the street. They use track inspired components and designs, to improve the driving characteristics of a car, without sacrificing those street going qualities we all love. The company has been well known in the import and sport compact market for quite some time, but they’ve also been making headway into the Mustang market.
We recently installed a host of Whiteline components on JTP’s project car, sidewayS197. Perhaps most interesting to many enthusiasts of these products is the Whiteline Watts link system, part number KDT916. The Watts link is the ultimate in handling upgrades for a solid rear axle car, and can make a tremendous difference in the way a solid axle equipped Mustang handles on the street and the track.
Right now Whiteline is running their Start Strong Finish Stronger promotion with their Mustang Watts link system. From January 15 through February 28, when you buy the Watts link system for your S197 Mustang from Whiteline, you can submit a form to get your choice of either a free upper control arm kit with bracket, or a free rear lower control arm mounting bracket kit.
Whiteline’s upper control arm kit, part number KTA141A, is full welded for superior strength over the stock pieces. The high durometer upper control arm bushing uses a unique eccentric sleeve to allow for quick and easy adjustment of pinion angle. Whiteline chose to use an eccentric to avoid putting a potential weak point for an adjuster in the control arm tube.
Whiteline’s lower control arm relocation brackets, part number KBR37, are designed to improve anti-squat and traction by changing the rear control arm geometry. These brackets compliment Whiteline’s lower control arms.
Either way you go, you’ll be making dramatic improvements to your Mustang’s rear suspension system. So if you’re planning some suspension upgrades this winter to make your S197 handle better, while you’re waiting out the Snowpocalypse, contact an authorized Whiteline dealer, and get your hands on a new Watts link and take advantage of this offer for a new upper control arm with bracket, or new lower control arm relocation brackets. Hurry, this offer ends February 28!
