It goes without saying that production numbers on all of the classic Shelby Mustangs from the ’60s were quite low, so you can add this 1968 GT350 to that list. Available on Bring A Trailer‘s website, this classic Shelby ’Stang brings plenty of Blue Oval history to the table for the enthusiast in search of a time capsule.

According to the original BAT listing, this Shelby was originally ordered from Kimnach Ford of Norfolk, Virginia, and was built at the Metuchen plant on December 7, 1967. It was then delivered new on January 12, 1968, to said dealership. It is said to be one of only 1,053 Fastback models produced in 1968, and is finished in the sought-after Highland Green paint option.

Fortunately for the new owner, this Shelby had a complete refurbishment in 2010, and has only been driven 30 miles since the restoration. It features a 302-cube small-block, a four-speed manual transmission, and a Traction-Lok 9-inch rearend with 3.89 gears. Amenities include power steering, power front disc brakes, an AM radio, and factory air conditioning. Moreover, the original ad states that this fine Shelby example has won numerous awards over the course of its current owner’s ownership, a Shelby collector who acquired the car back in September of 1995.

Extras included with the car include: a Deluxe Marti report, the original intake manifold, the original carburetor, records, documentation, awards, and a clean North Carolina title. For more information on this Shelby, we encourage you to checkout the original listing on Bring A Trailer here. But, you’d better hurry; this Shelby is climbing a ladder to six figures, fast!
