The Spring Break Shootout is known for having some of the biggest True Street class turnouts that the NMRA has ever seen, and racers will again have the opportunity to put their vehicles through the 30-mile cruise, followed by three grueling back-to-back passes. The Spring Break Shootout class will be decided on Saturday when the 16 quickest True Street cars face off to see who is the king of the streets at the event. The clutch crowd will also get to see who’s superior when the eight quickest manual transmission cars square off in the Stick Shift Shootout.
The Cobra Jet Showdown is going have the best of Ford’s factory-built racecars on display during the Spring Break Shootout. With this many Cobra Jets in one place, Bradenton Motorsports Park will become a veritable “snake pit” of these high-horsepower machines. With this much cash and bragging rights on the line, the Cobra Jet Shootout is guaranteed to be an exciting part of the Spring Break Shootout.
If you’re into wicked-fast Mustangs, then you won’t want to miss the 2018 Spring Break Shootout. The Outlaw True Street class will be back on Saturday night again to show off the cars that are just too fast for normal True Street competition. Another exciting all-Mustang extravaganza will be the Terminator/GT500 Shootout, which is where the fastest Ford SVT-built cars run heads-up. The Turbo Coyote Shootout is also back and will be packed with boosted Mustangs dipping into the single-digit zone.
The Spring Break Shootout will also have the entire traditional lineup of NMRA classes, including Street Outlaw, Renegade, Modular Muscle, Ford Muscle, Open Comp, and more. There will be plenty to see on the midway with products from top-level manufactures, and if you want to check out some cool cars the car show will be overflowing with fine Fords to see.
