One car that most Mustang enthusiasts could dream of owning is the classic Boss 429, a rare car that was only produced for 2 years. This is the car that demonstrated Ford’s desire to win at NASCAR while homologation rules made sure that the blue oval dropped this large motor into production cars. The one and only Kar Kraft then started producing the now classic Boss 429.
Sitting at Marino Performance Motors is this 1969 Boss 429 with 30,000 original miles that has been restored to Concours quality down to the nuts and bolts. Painted in the classic hue of Wimbledon White, it features a beautiful black interior. This Boss Mustang has all of its factory components intact, all restored to like-new condition down to the factory smog system. Only 859 of these cars were made in ’69 and even less were produced for the model year 1970.
According to the seller, on this 1969 Boss 429 everything was restored to the level of the factory build sheet all the way down to those rare extended center caps gracing the Magnum 500 wheels. Everything else is factory correct including the 429ci 4V Cobra Jet Ram Air engine, the 4-speed manual transmission, traction-lock differential, front splitter, 85-amp battery mounted in the trunk, suspension, F60X15 tires, front disc brakes, power steering, AM radio, and color-matched racing mirrors.
Also, the interior features all of the correct carpet, upholstery, and wood grain. All knobs are correct as well as the functional air flaps inside of the hood scoop and spare tire in the trunk.
