eBay Find of The Day: One-of-One ’70 Ford Torino GT 429 Convertible

If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind muscle car, we’ve got an eBay lot for you. Up for bid is a one-of-one ‘70 Ford Torino convertible. For the right bid, this expensive factory option package can be in your garage.

This car is as rare as it gets. Only 125 Ford Torino GT 429/AT Convertibles were manufactured in 1970. Only six of these were black. Two of the six had the Turin Red interior. The ‘70 Torino up for auction is the only black convertible with Turin Red interior with its particular factory options. This is truly a one-of-one classic muscle car.

As associated with its title, this Torino is equipped with a big-block 429cui V8 engine. It also comes with a select-shift, Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission.

The extra-cost options that originally came on this car in addition to the engine and transmission are the high-back bucket seats, white convertible top, console, power steering, belted tires, steel wheels, front disc brakes, deluxe steering wheel and AM radio. While most of these things are still included with the vehicle, some upgrades and OEM replacement parts have been put on the car.

The car has had three owners and 89,612 actual miles put on it. After getting it as a “barn find,” the second owner began slowing restoring the car. The current owner purchased the car in 2008. While the car does fire right up, it has not been driven since 1992.

The listing for this one-of-a-kind Torino ends late on May 26th. While the seller states in the information that the value of the car was once estimated at $100,000, the “Buy it Now” price is set at only $44,950. We hope that this unique muscle car goes to someone who’s not afraid to show off its exclusive flare.
