The NMRA season is in full swing, with racers in every class putting forth a maximum effort to go rounds and hopefully win a championship. A familiar name to our readers, and many enthusiasts has also come on board to help out a variety of NMRA racers this season with their fuel system needs –DeatschWerks.
DeatschWerks is not only providing high quality fuel system solutions to racers in a variety of NMRA classes, it is also paying contingency in 6 NMRA classes, and sponsoring 7 race teams this season. Among those racers is our buddy “Dyno” Joe Cram who’s making a hard charge in the Coyote Modified class this season with Holbrook power under the hood of his ’06 Mustang. DeatschWerks keeps that Holbrook power fed with its 1200cc injectors on board, as well as providing support for Cram’s racing efforts this season.
Factory Stock superstar and 2014 Factory Stock champion, Matt Amrine also relies on DeatschWerks, specifically with their 35 lbs injectors. Amrine is on a tear this season, having won every event so far, continuing his outright dominance of this class.
Johnny Lightning has been racing in the NMRA for almost as long as the series has been around. He has two entries in NMRA competition, one running Coyote Modified, and the other Truck and Lightning. Both of these entries run DeatschWerks 2200cc injectors.
John Kauderer and Joe Guertin are two other names in Coyote Modified that rely on DeatschWerks to supply the fuel for their cars. Kauderer is running 1500cc DV2 injectors, while Guertin runs 1200cc DV2 units in his ride. John Mummery’s Super Stang ride utilizes DeatschWerks’ 78 lbs injectors, and True Street Racer Courtney Pierce uses the company’s 65 lbs units.
Gary “Hollywood” Parker, made the switch to NMRA Factory stock this year. Parker’s familiar ride is now sporting a set of DeatschWerks 35 lbs injectors.
DeatschWerks also pays contingency to racers running its products in the following NMRA classes:
- Coyote Modified
- Factory Stock
- Renegade
- Modular Muscle
- Super Stang
- Truck/Lightning
DeatschWerks’ Mark Hutchison says, “NMRA is a great organization because it speaks straight to the consumer. The racers that participate in NMRA are shop owners or opinion leaders in the Ford industry. They get to use DeatschWerks products in situations that are far more extreme than normal consumers would put our products through and then get to show their customers that our products can perform in a racing type environment and would work great in your street car.”
Looking for a fueling solution or advice on what DeatschWerks products will work best on your car? DeatschWerks will have representatives on hand at two of the biggest NMRA events of the year, the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag racing, next month in Joliet, Illinois, and the NMRA World finals this fall in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Whether you’re building a race car for the strip or road course, or just modifying your car for the street, DeatschWerks can help you accurately match the right fuel system solutions to your application.
