Daytime Auction to Play Host to Rare ’64 Falcon Futura

In the midst of the muscle car era, many cars were manufactured that somewhat flew under the radar due to heightened focus on high-performance vehicles. When these cars stand the test of time, they are even more rare than classic muscle cars because fewer people put the time and effort into maintaining them. One such example, a ‘64 Ford Falcon Futura, will be making its way to the Daytime Auction next weekend. Although fewer of these cars were made, and they were less popular than the muscle cars, this Futura is a prime example of Ford’s classic compact sedan.

The Futura, one of only 13,220 made, has undergone a complete restoration. It sports a freshly rebuilt engine, rear end and rare Borg-Warner floor-shifted four-speed transmission. New components on this Futura include the clutch and linkage, suspension, exhaust and hydraulic pump lift cylinders. The interior is also completely new, even down to the seatbelts and weather stripping. The car is topped off with a new power convertible top and tonneau cover.

With under 76k miles and all the new/rebuilt components, this classic car is sure to run strong for its new owner for years to come. If you are interested in bidding on this rare Futura, it is scheduled to cross the auction block on Saturday August 20th at 5:55p.m. We wish all potential bidders luck on this auction lot.
