With the economy limping along as it is, a lot of people are downsizing everyone from their homes to their car collections. With so many options and so few buyers, people have to get creative when it comes to selling their stuff. Some high-end real estate companies are telling their clients to include a luxury car with the sale. But how do you attract attention to a car you’re trying to get rid of?
Well, you could always find a woman to pose next to your car; it’s a good way of attracting eyeballs to your sales ad. But as today’s Craigslist ad shows, they don’t always have to be beautiful in order to be effective.
It would be easy at this point to delve into some kind of awful rant about the less-than-Barbie-perfect looks of the “model” in the above Craigslist ad. But we’re not that kind of website, and quite frankly, women have a hard enough time trying to live up to impossible standards of beauty.
However, who ever thought these pictures would help sell their Mustang? Well…they did get us to write about it, didn’t they? Though we’re not so sure we’d call this 2000 Mustang GT a “Babe Magnet.” The seller claims many models have posed with this particular car, as though that is a good enough reason to shell out a few extra bucks for it, and that messed up front end isn’t helping.
The asking price of $5,000 isn’t unreasonable, but if this car really is a “babe magnet”, couldn’t the seller have come up with a couple of better pictures with someone who maybe models for a living?
