This GT is one of the lowest mileage Foxes we’ve heard about. We’re kind of surprised to see this Fox body GT on Craigslist, and not one of the more specialty Mustang sites, but you can sell pretty much anything on the site so why not a low-mile Fox.
This ’92 GT for this author, has two things going against it. One, it’s an AOD. Second, the ’92 Fox red interior was all red, and not the red/black combination of earlier Foxes. That’s two strikes. Well actually, it has 3 strikes against it if you count the $19,895 asking price. That takes this guy out of the running for this “new” Fox GT.
If you read the ad, it seems the owner has saved the car for the day when it would be worth some money. Evidently, the owner “ran it through the gears” on a weekly basis with the car up on jack stands, and it’s been stored in a climate-controlled facility since new. “Still has Ford air in the original tires,” the seller adds.
With our Fox Mustangs squeaks, rattles, and leaks are the norm, but with just 2,765 miles on this example it is said to be devoid of any of the normal Fox ailments.
If you want a new Fox, at a new Fox price, this is the one for you.
