Brought to you by Thomas Borgia of the Bluegrass Super Shifters, roaring into Morning View, KY this coming Saturday look for Coyote Pro Stock class to hit the hot sticky pavement of Thronhill Dragway. After a successful launch of the Coyote Pro Stock class at Thornhill back in July, Borgia has commenced round two. With the crowd pleasing Coyote Class in attendance at its freshman appearance at the strip, Thornhill saw a record crowd pack the stands and line the fences.
With a long winter ahead after the close of the NMRA season, this is the time for one last blast in 2014 Coyote Stock trim, before racers begin their winter planning and thrashing, looking to gain an edge for next season.
With the initial premiere of the class resulting in a large turnout, in both racers and spectators, Borgia shared with us at Stang TV that the Coyote Pro Stock class will become a regular part of the 2015 Bluegrass Super Shifter Season. To ensure the drivers of the class have opportunity to enter, Borgia will work the Bluegrass Super Shifter schedule around the NMRA season schedule.
For racers interested in competing, entry fee is $125 to enter, with a full payout going to all the winners. Gates open at 3pm for racers and spectators. Spectators will pay $12.00 for entrance. Weather is looking to be agreeable as well with a high of 63 and sunny. Great weather and the hooking track surface at Thornhill should mean fast times this weekend.
The rules of the race follow along with the NMRA rulebook for the Coyote Stock class including only Coyote Stock sealed crate engine, no power adders, and a 3,000 pound vehicle weight. Borgia stated with the Coyote Pro Stock a definite crowd pleaser he looks for drivers such as Jacob Lamb, who will be in attendance, to draw a crowd and increase spectators.
