The guys over at Centerforce Clutches unveiled their plans for a new 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0L project car that they intend to display at the Centerforce booth at the 2010 SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV in early November. From there, the car will be headed to the Barrett Jackson where it will be auctioned off with all of the proceeds going to the Bennett Foundation, which offers assistance to families with premature or ailing newborn children.
Among the list of modifications that will find their way into this already powerful Pony include a Kenne Bell supercharger, with some added motivation courtesy of a yet undetermined nitrous oxide system, which will all transfer through Centerforce’s new twin-disc clutch setup. A body kit and wheels from Cervini will give it a whole new look, and underneath will house a set of coilover shocks from Eibach. To cope with – or at least attempt to – put all that power to the ground, Will Baty at Centerforce indicated that the rear end on the car will likely be narrowed to accommodate a larger rear tire. And if the power from the combined power adders isn’t quite enough entertainment, a full audio system from Polk Audio will certainly get your attention.
“We’re kind of doing this as an Eleanor type of car with the body kit on it,” said Will Baty at Centerforce. The difference, at least as far as aesthetics go, will be the color scheme, which will be black with silver stripes rather than the Eleanor look of black on silver. The car is actually owned by Auto Art Studios in Prescott, AZ, and all of the paint and body work will be done at their shop once the rest of the work is complete.
