For over 50 years, one of the most popular modifications on any V8 Mustang has been the exhaust. The 2015 Mustang is no different than any other Mustang in that respect. While Ford did a better job delivering a more aggressive exhaust note than on any previous generation Mustang, the S550 can still benefit in both the sound and power department from an exhaust system upgrade. American Muscle and Kooks have teamed up to bring one lucky 2015 Mustang GT owner a new set of headers and mid-pipe from Kooks.
We’ve seen in the past how well the Coyote engine responds to a header and mid-pipe swap. We even did one with Kooks not long ago on our 2013 Mustang Project Silver Bullett. Increased exhaust flow through larger diameter tubing, made from T304 stainless teel, and built by hand by some of the best craftsmen in the industry, make Kooks products stand out.
Kooks is already offering 2015 Mustang long tube headers in two primary tube diameters, there’s 1 3/4-inch that will accommodate most of us, and 1 7/8-inch for those who are planning to go big with a power adder, or other mods that can take advantage of the additional flow. Kooks offers these in catted and off-road (no cats) versions.
The contest runs through the end of this month (which is tomorrow). So if you own a 2015 Mustang and haven’t entered yet, you need to head over to the contest page and do it now. You could end up with $2,200 worth of free parts from American Muscle and Kooks.
