Alice Cooper’s Mustang Heading To Auction

Everybody wants to live life like a rockstar, though very few ever achieve true rockstar status. Alice Cooper was one of those lucky (and very hardworking) few to make it big, and he has enjoyed over four decades of fame and fortune. Among the many perks Mr. Cooper enjoys is an extensive car collection, and an important part of that collection is now heading to auction at the end of the month.

To be crossing the auction block at the annual Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction will be Cooper’s own personal golf cart…which as it turns out is a 1965 Ford Mustang.

According to the brief auction listing, this ‘65 Mustang has just over 35,000 miles on the odometer, and sports a 4-barrel 289 V8 under the hood backed by a more-modern 4-speed automatic transmission. Apparently Cooper used this car for getting around town more than anything, and his golf clubs fit nicely in the trunk according to the auction listing.

A well-known star owning a car like this is sure to add some value to the car, but at the end of the day what we have here is still a low-mileage ‘65 Mustang with a 289 V8 and a four-speed automatic. Unless there are two die-hard Cooper fans in the audience duking it out for this Mustang, it should bring a fair, if not unreasonable, price on the auction block.
