More than twenty-two “Best Resale Value” categories are available on Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com)’s website; ranging from the best subcompact vehicle to the best full-size pickup truck, and everything in between. It’s the folks at KBB’s job to recognize these vehicles for their projected retained (and resale) value throughout its initial five-year ownership period–which is based on projects from KBB’s official residual value guide. The values from KBB are established by experienced automotive analysts in the industry who’s job is to review the output of statistical models, which have sold up-to millions of transactions around the nation.
In the case of the “Best High Performance Car” category, the all-new 2017 Shelby GT350 has taken home the award for this year’s Best Resale Value category. The folks at KBB have praised the 2017 Shelby GT350 iteration of the Ford Mustang for its uniqueness above all else. From its 5.2-liter flat-plane crank equipped “Voodoo” V8 engine, to the incorporation of Ford’s all-new MagneRide magnetic suspension system, it’s easy to see why the Shelby GT350 was chosen to receive this honorable award.
KBB also praises the GT350 for making the “Track Package” now standard equipment; which includes the aforementioned MagneRide suspension system, as well as an engine oil, transmission and differential cooler now available. Suffice to say, this isn’t the first time the Shelby GT350 Mustang has earned an award–and it most likely won’t be the last, either.
