2012 BOSS 302 Mustang Officially Priced at $40,145

We’ve been waiting and wondering and scratching our heads trying to figure out how much the 2012 BOSS 302 Mustang is going to cost. Our best guess has been around $40,000, slotted right in between the Mustang GT Premium and the supercharged Shelby GT500. We figured Ford would put out a big press release announcing the pricing and whatnot for the BOSS302, but apparently not.

Mustang Evolution discovered, through a tip, that the 2012 BOSS 302 Mustang’s pricing has actually come online along with the 2012 Mustang configurator. And the price? $40,995 for the standard BOSS 302 , or $47,990 for the track-ready Laguna Seca Edition, and that is before selecting any of the option boxes. That should slot in well between the GT and GT500.

What kind of options are available on the BOSS 302 Mustang and Laguna Seca Edition? Not a whole hell of a lot, actually, though the Recaro racing seats available on the GT500 can be optioned into the base BOSS 302 for the premium price of $1,995. For that kind of scratch, you might as well go all the way and get the Laguna Seca Package, which turns the BOSS 302 from a street warrior into a track monster. A rear seat delete, a cross bar for chassis stiffening, an aggressive front splitter, R-compound tires and more.

All of this allows the BOSS 302 Laguna Seca Edition to attain 1.03 g’s on the skidpad. All of this for under $50,000? Sign us up for two! Of course, if you just want the base, $40,000 version, we understand. It’s still a pretty sweet car. But really, why wouldn’t you want the track-ready Laguna Seca Editon? Who needs rear seats anyways.
