The Shelby GT 500 boasts an impressive 435 rear wheel horsepower from the showroom floor without any special features. Although most customers would be satisfied with the power rating, one company in Woodland Park, Colorado couldn’t resist putting their skills to the test to pull as much out of the 5.4-Liter small block. Snow Performance is known for their expertise in forced induction, high performance street applications, and they recently had a video on their website showing off the power behind their water/meth kits. Snow Performance got video of this badass ride and posted it up on their website for everyone to see.

The team mounted a pair of MRL Performance ported cylinder heads with GT Supercar cams. A special low intake manifold sat atop the engine top make room under the hood for the Kenne Bell 2.8 Liter Supercharger set up for 23psi of boost. The fuel system featured 72 pounds-per-hour injectors.

Topping off the test subject is a ZEX wet nitrous kit, a customized Snow Performance water/methanol injection system, and of coarse a remote tune by known late-model Ford tuner Jon Lund. Bolted up to the heads are a set of 1.75-inch header primaries which dump into 3-inch Bassani exhaust.

The first run featured everything added to the vehicle with the exception of the ZEX kit. With 23 pounds of boost and a water/methanol injection, the Shelby GT pushed out a whopping 825.13 horsepower and 776.09 ft-lbs of torque on 94 octane, nearly doubling the stock numbers! With the same setup, the crew added in a 100-shot off the ZEX bottle, which gave them an extra 45 ponies and over 100 more ft-lbs of torque.
