| | | Are Women Better Drivers? Found some more interesting data on a private website:
Women Drivers: Hidden Health Risk To Men
Women drive only 30% of miles driven but are in 37% of the fatal accidents
How drunk does a man have to be to drive as dangerously as a sober woman?
Answer: seven drinks
NHTSA data suggests that a man who drinks and drives increases his probability of having an accident by 4% and ignores that sober women drivers have a probability of having an accident equivalent to that of men drivers with a BAC = 0.12.
Women pilots have a crash rate four times higher than men pilots.
Women truckers have a crash rate six times higher than men truckers.
NHTSA data suggests that women drivers are only 70% more likely than men drivers to have a fatal accident.
NHTSA data suggests that if only men drove:
Traffic accidents would decrease only 22%.
Only 9,159 lives would be saved each year.
Only 330,000 lives would be saved over the next 30 years.
Only $44 billion per year would be saved in crash repair costs.
Their data suggests that if only women drove:
There would be 23,879 more traffic fatalities each year.
There would be 7,674 more women killed each year.

My theory is (notice I use experience instead of ridiculous data based facts) that women have been catered to in the past and were chauffeured around by all the lust seeking men, so naturally we are still getting used to driving. Men have been catering to their women forever, so why would we need to know how to do such things as drive?? Considering this short period I would say that women are great drivers and not to mention our multi-tasking abilities while we drive. I mean how are we supposed to drive good when we have make-up to put on and phone calls to make.
Regardless of any data or personal opinions, the women who reside with powerTV are not among the norm, as we can and will rip our selves up and down, all around where ever we please when we please in a CAR, without hurting a fly. You know like that AWESOME Indy Car driver...whats her name?? Oh-I remember...........DANIKA PATRICK..ya-she's awesome, dont you think KBRO? |

| | | Hey Sealer. Climb down off your pedestal. No one caters to women where I'm from. "Go wait in the truck Woman" is a common phrase used, and considered foreplay in New Mexico. "Shut up and quit talking that's Randy Travis on the radio" is another one. God, there's nothing better than beer drinking, woman slapping, country music.
Listen. Facts are facts. NHTSA is simply reporting the numbers. You can spin it any way that you would like Princess. Numbers are numbers. Can't fake em, can't change em. They are what they are.
Multi tasking when driving. Please! Do one thing right before you take on a new task.
Yeah, the Power TV women are a cut above but are not a good representation of the fairest sex.
Why do you feel compelled to correct me all the time? This time you are really reaching. Take care that you don't fall off of the ledge when you're reaching for the brass ring.

| | | Oh yeah. About Dumbica Patrick; can't drive. Not even in the weak ass Indy car league. She would be, and has been, more successful wearing a swim suit in men's magazines. Mater of fact, Daria Franchetti has done so well in the NASCAR events that he might be back in the Indy Series next year. Juanita Pablo Montoya will be right behind him based on his super showing. They need to go back to a series where the cars drive themselves and the real race takes place in the pit shacks.
I bet we could train a lowlands ape from the Congo to listen to the head sets and "drive" an Indy car event.

| | If's and butts. If If's and buts were chocolate and nuts we'd all have a merry christmas.
IF you had a Mustang instead of a Prius, you could really create some damage.
IF you could see over the steering wheel, you might be able to get it out of the driveway.
If you could touch the gas pedal, you might be able to go forward on the streets.
If a picture paints a thousand words........Then...Why can't I paint you being quiet?
Go ahead Princess and climb back up on your pedestal. I'll give you a ride home so that you feel catered to.

| | | After reading this thread I took a survey of all the woman drivers in my house. That adds up to one. My wife. Now I must say that she is different then most. She is an excellent driver. Her opinion is that most woman are horrible drivers. She can list many examples, her mother, her sister, her sister-in-law, etc. etc. etc. So this is not just men being sexist. We have facts and the opinion of a rare good woman driver. |

| | | Kevio, thanks for the supporting documentation. Sounds as if your wife is very honest, candid and calls it like she sees it. God Bless her!
