Tork Tech 99-2004 Eaton Supercharger for 2V
If you have a 99-2004 Mustang GT and are feeling left out of the rash of new Eaton supercharger systems available for the S197 platform, Tork Tech Inc. has developed a new Eaton/Magnuson based intercooled supercharger system for the 4.6L 2V.

Promising 6-9 pounds of boost and an additional 140-145 hp out of the box, the Tork Tech Inc. system features an separate belt drive system designed to allow swapping the crank pulley to increase boost.

Tork Tech’s supercharger systems utilize efficient large displacement superchargers combined with highly designed components: every component from the Air Filter, Inlet Tube, Throttle Body, Intake Plenum to the intake manifold and Intercooler are designed for solid performance and easy installation resulting in exceptional value as can be seen in TTI's Supercharger Kit for the 99-04 Mustang GT and the upcoming 2005+ GT.

Their non-tuner kits are COMPLETE, not requiring any mandatory optional items that are needed to actually make the kit fully functional.

Utilizing this philosophy TTI's Engineering Department is hard at work bringing a complete line of supercharger kits to the market within a very short period of time, stay tuned for exciting upcoming product announcements.

Some results on the blower. The most recent install was on a BONE stock 2000 5 speed. 88K miles on the car. The install took about 7 hours including the front mount heat exchanger. 235 rwhp x 262 torque. With about 30 minutes of tuning it made 375 rwhp x 360 torque. Peak power was at 5700 rpm and still climbing. 325 ft/lbs at 2600 rpm. Outside temp was around 85 degrees with 29 % humidity. Average boost was 7.5 pounds.
On a 1999 Saleen in NY, the kit was swapped in replacing a ported M90 with good heads and Stage II cams. Power jumped from 410 at 14 pounds of boost to 500 at 12 pounds of boost.

It works.

Those are great power numbers. In the future we'd love to do a test right here on our dyno or an install some day, would be interesting to also test drag strip performances.

We ran the car again this AM to see if some 'cooler" air would make a difference. The last numbers were on a really hot day. A few more "tweeks" on the tune, and we hit 406 x 398 torque. Awesome for a small 1.8L blower. This is the "plain Jane" inter cooled out of the box kit that was tested.
We would love to have you do some testing James. Let us know when you are ready.

Ron
