After a horrific crash in 2006 Lance Styck was ready to get right back on the horse with partner Marshall Hancock. The two have teamed up to rebuild an ORSCA Limited Street car which will also see action in the NMRA Outlaw 10.5W race, as well as Styck's new FFW Pro 5.0 and ADRL X10.5 W Car.
Check out the crash below.
Lance Styck Outlaw 10.5 Crash
Styck has been racing Mustangs all over the south for a long time, and decided when the old car was destroyed that he needed to get right back into the driver's seat. The car in the pictures below is brand new, and was being constructed for the now-defunct NMRA Pro 5.0 class, but will be campaigned in ADRL's Xtreme 10.5 class along with stops in Fun Ford's Pro 5.0 class.
A twin-turbo Proline Racing Engines all-aluminum 449 cubic-inch moneymaker resides under the hood of Styck's car, with the possibility of a 665 replacing it later this year. Backed by a Bruno/Lenco transmission, Styck is hoping that the car will propel him to the head of the pack in ADRL's Xtreme 10.5 class. Every effort was made to keep this car as light as possible, as it will empower the team to move weight around as necessary to get the estimated 2,500 horsepower to the ground.
Hancock's car takes a different approach - he's been racing Fords for a long time going back to the late 1990's, and his latest version is a nitrous-fed monster which is going to make a run at the NMRA Outlaw 10.5W class.
