| | | New Gauge Options from Autometer Comp and Elite Series Gauges
Autometer's new gauges have a trick feature that will help simplify the wiring in your car. The gauge has a trigger on and off output that can send a low voltage signal to a relay as a switch point for controlling components. For example, if you had a water temperature gauge, you could trigger your electric fan to turn on at a specific temperature and then off if it got below another temperature point. Additionally, you have the ability to create warning points. When the point is reached, the gauge will begin to flash. When it gets past a certain point, the gauge color will remain solid. The warning points and trigger points can be set at separate points. The Elite series is the same but adds different colors that can be staged at different points. American Muscle Series
These gauges are designed for radical street rods that require an industrial look. These gauges don’t have any recording abilities but sure look pretty sweet. The centerpieces are thin cut, spun aluminum, which takes a ton of time and precision to make as per Autometer. The needle eliminates red while the numbers are backlit in white.

| | | CP Pistions CP Pistons offers a wide rage of pistons for almost every application, from a Buick Grand National to a Ford Modular Motor and everything in between. These pistons are CNC machined and balanced to be with in one gram. CP also includes their pin lock for easy removal and the wrist pins as well for no extra cost. They also have pistons for turbo, nitrous, and supercharger engines and plenty of NA ones. They currently stock over 500 pistons and they do offer a custom option on their pistons. The MIL (Maximum Internal Lighting) option does exactly what the name says. They remove all of the unnecessary material, freeing up horsepower and reducing the load on the other components in the engine.

| | | Trick Flow debuts new Modular 4.6L Ford Head Trick Flow took a standard 4.6-liter Modular head design and did some wild things to it -- the most obvious part is that the intake valve sits on the opposite side of the head. This enables the valve to have a straighter shot into the combustion chamber allowing for a .650 lift cam and increased airflow. They employed the same "Twisted Wedge" technology to the Modular, and gave the head a big power potential where few others have dared to play.
The next change is the removable cam journal and cap. If you ever run into a cam problem, you can now replace it without junking your head. There is also a .750-inch thick deck and longer spark plug hole for added reinforcement. They offer the heads in 34-38cc combustion chamber sizes to accommodate everything from a 1992 Lincoln to a 2004 Mustang. This heads flow almost 250 cfm on the intake and 183 cfm on the exhaust, as cast, but expect a number of CNC porting options.

| | | MasterShift's New Manual Paddle Shifter The MasterShift Manual Shifter enables you to shift your manual H-pattern transmission while leaving your hands on the steering wheel! It provides a quick and reliable electronically controlled movement of the transmission shift shaft. The shifter unit can be installed in little time on many popular transmissions including Tremec TKO, T-56, and TR-3650.
Basic shifting is done almost like it is done when you are driving a stick. You just hit the shift buttons or paddles, press the clutch pedal, and the MasterShift Manual Shifter will place the shift shaft in the requested position. It is also possible to ‘stack’ or ‘pre-load’ multiple shifts by pressing the paddle or button several times before pressing the clutch pedal. The Manual Shifter will then move straight to the requested target gear position.
The guys at MasterShift have been hard at work to improve their already ground breaking design. This prototype system is one that would be used on a C6 Corvette. They have improved the shift times and even modified the system to work the stock OEM steering wheel so that you can keep your entire factory steering wheel controls. Also new is the option for a sequential shifter. Look for this to be coming out very soon.

| | | Trick Battery and Starter Technology from Powermaster You have never seen a car battery like this before. Obviously, neither did SEMA because they won the “Best New Racing Product” award at the 2008 SEMA Show. This three pound (3 Lb.) battery (that’s not a typo) is designed for race cars running on a 16 volt system and no alternator. The battery is made from a slew of lithium ion batteries in one.
There is a central brain that monitors the batteries performance and will shut down cells if it detects a problem. This is critical because lithium ion can be very dangerous if not monitored properly. Additionally, you can select the amount of volts (up to 16) that it puts out. They also sell conventional 12 volt systems that are not adjustable and weigh just a pound more. Ultra Torque HS Starter
This is the same motor that they use with their Ultra Torque starter, but with a different gearbox. The HS version allows for more cranking speed, reported in the 175-200 RPM range. If you have a lower compression motor that needs higher cranking RPM, this starter is for you. On a high compression engine, the original Ultra Torque may be a safer bet.

| | | Gear Vendors Gear Vendors’ famous ‘gear splitting’ technology can be used for many different applications. From 18 wheel trucks, to 8 second drag cars, Gear Vendors’ Overdrive brings the same close ratios of a stick shift to your automatic. The best part is how it all works. All the driver has to do is push a button and the overdrive will do the rest. By altering the ratios of your driveline, Gear Vendors can create gears in between gears, Gear Splitting.
Whether you have a high stall converter or are still running the stock one, Gear Vendors claims that their overdrives will increase your horsepower. How, might you ask? Easy, horsepower is equal to Torque X RPM / 5252. Now because Gear Splitting is designed to produce more torque multiplication and higher RPM on shift that means more power. With kits available for many classic muscle cars and performance transmissions, Gear Vendors is sure to have something for everyone looking to go fast.

| | | DiabloSport Trinity Tuner In the tuner wars, the race is on to make the most radical new tuning devices anyone has ever seen. Building a tuner is tough, it has to balance ease of use, technology, and of course, capability. Diablosport's newest entry into the War is the Trinity.
The big thing about the Trinity is that is includes a SD card function so you can load tune files using cheap Flash-style memory. In addition, the Trinity has a really slick color LCD with complete user-adjustability, diagnostics, and logging capability built right in.
Trinity diagnostics can also read and erase trouble codes and incorporates real time data logging with the capability to export them to your PC, or SD card for reviewing. The Trinity dash monitor comes equipped with a high resolution monitor that can display graphs, gauges, or PID data (that's OBD-II sensors for you noobies) and will support multiple additional analog or digital devices such as aftermarket sensors in your vehicle. Diablosport.com is the place to go for more info.
