At last years SEMA show, the theme was Hot Wheels and many shops happily oblidged the outlandish theme by bringing some of the more radical toy designs to life. Even Chip Foose lended his hand in sculpting these life size testaments to the 40th anniversary of the Hot Wheels brand. Apparently someone forgot to tell Galpin Auto Sports, the same guys from MTV's Pimp My Ride, who have decided to offer up the "Project B" Mustang for SEMA 2008, a year too late for the Hot Wheels Anniversary. Why they didn't build this car last year is just one of the many, many questions left unanswered from these radical spy shots.
What we know is this: The Project B is based on the current generation Mustang (believe it or not) and is purportedly to get a twin-supercharged V8 stroked to 5.0 liters. While usually 24" rims on a Mustang would raise some eyebrows, the radical styling along every inch of the custom body and the Batmobile-like front snout divert your attention elsewhere. Even the concept drawing of the interior looks like a scene stolen straight from
Blade Runner., which you can look at on
Autoblog's Galley. The Project B Mustang is set to debut this November at the 2008 SEMA show, and we will be keeping an eye on this interesting beast.
