Unique Performance Inventory at Auction

As originally reported by 67 Mustang blog, the entire inventory of Unique Performance is going up for auction. This is a sad ending to a company that many thought was a major player in the resto-mod and custom car builder game.

There are well over 1,000 items and it includes over 64 Mustangs shells that are in different stages of assembly - some with complete engines!

There is a really wide variety of stuff, including (crap) for sale. But, if you want to get a head start on a vintage Mustang build, this might be the steal of the lifetime.

Bidding will begin Friday, March 21st, 2008 at 5:00 pm (CST). The Bankruptcy Court is requiring all participants in this auction to maintain a 25% deposit in certified funds at all times. now this just pisses me off. something stinks. what about all those people who got ripped off and got their money stolen. so their cars are just being auctioned off? how the f does that work?

WOW that really sucks big time!!
SO what if you had a car done by Unique, do you forfeit it to the government??
Does this mean that your car is a forgery and that it must go up for auction because you have a phony Vin#.

I remember watching on a program called "Rides" that Unique was boasting how they had Ford's blessing and that you can bring a junk vintage mustang and pay like $100K or there abouts and you would get a Shelby of some kind with New Vin#'s that Ford Furnishes. I guess that was a fraud and I remember in that show that some professional athlete bought that car and was happy with it, I wonder how happy he is now??

There was a business a few years back In Los Angeles called I think 310 Motoring ( Don't quote me exactly)and they didn't quite the same thing but something different and they got shut down by the state of California as well. I remember this because the CEO tried to rent one of my apartments and his finances didn't Jive at all. Wait a minute I remember one thing they did was that they were importing Exotics from Europe and the Middle East claiming to be US cars and they were not!! They didn't meet DOT standards and other infractions I can assume.

But this is what the world has come to, How can I scam money from you and make look legit!!
Well so much for creating new vintage Shelby's by Unique!! The only Unique thing is that your Vintage mustang is being put up for auction and there's nothing you can do about it but bid on your old ride.
