With the NMRA season opener just a couple of days away. Will we see
any records broken? I have heard of a certain Hot Street team claiming
an 8.50's pass is not out of the question if the conditions are right.
What about Drag Radial those boys have been working non-stop over the
winter to find that little extra bit of power and hook. Is a 7 second pass out
of the question? Chris Tuten ripped off an 8.02@177.86 at last year’s opener
and that record still stands.
Last time I checked 12 racers were pre-qualified for Outlaw 10.5. With Murillo and
Millen back in the ranks this will prove to be a serious gunfight. One team claims they
will settle for nothing less than the championship. Super Street Outlaw has 16 cars
pre-registered so far, including the likes of Urist, Burton, and Buginga. Will we see
a 200 mph pass? I think we will!
Don't forget about Renegade, Real Street, Pure Street and Factory Stock.
These classes also have a lot of talented racers shooting for the top.
Somebody cheating or bending the rules????? Who is going to be the first to get torn down?
Tell us what you think?
