It’s been a busy day as the schedule has been a little crazy. Here are the results from the remaining heads up E1 runs.
Pro Outlaw 10.5
Mike Murillo spun the tires off the line for a split second, but was able to gather it up in time to still run a 7.337@149.95. In the other lane was Keith Neal. His 7.388@215.24 wasn’t good enough to advance him into the next round.
Dwayne James has been struggling with his car all weekend, and he drew Conrad Scarry in the first round. James had a great .006 reaction time, but Scarry was a full car length ahead of him by the eighth mile. Scarry finished with a 6.916@204.63 that bested James’ 9.265@119.30.
Dan Millen was granted a bye run in the first round. He’ll face Mike Murillo in the semis.
Super Street Outlaw
John MacDonald advances to the semis where he will have a bye run after running a 7.540@189.15. Chris Tuten gave him a run for the position running a 7.701@188.94.
Don Burton got a lucky pass into semis when Brian Dalton red light before running a 8.094@173.63 to Burton’s 8.168@184.77. He’ll face Urist for a place in the finals.
John Urist ran a 7.531@190.73 bye run after he shut it down at the 330 foot mark.
Renegade
Larry Hourcle advanced into the next round before he left the lights when Chad Almandinger red light. Both car ran it out with Hourcle running a 8.738@157.80 and Almandinger running a 8.766@157.45.
Another red light in the next set of cars. This time it was Chris VanGilder handing the win to Dan Rawls. VanGilder still ran 8.785@157.87, and Rawls ran a 8.559@161.54.
The red lights continued as Brian Mitchell sent himself packing even though he ran a 8.765@158 when he lined up against Brian Tuten who stayed green and ran a 8.725@156.83. He’ll face Dan Rawls for a run in the finals.
Bart Tobener sent Alton Clements home with a 8.618@160.81 over a 8.814@159.70 from Clements. He advances to the next round to face Hourcle in the semis.
Hot Street
Robbie Blankenship caught Jim Sutterlin sleeping on the starting line as he ran a 8.822@154.76 over Sutterlin’s 8.965@149.88.
There was a bit on confusion on the starting line when Rick Riccardi lined up against Max Gross. One of the crew members on Gross’ team who was helping him stage the car had his foot in the beams when having Max pull up. Riccardi staged his car and the starter started the tree without Gross fully in the lights. Rick took off and ran a 9.235@148.43.
They decided to rerun the round and this time Riccardi red light by .001 as Gross ran it out the back door to a 8.881@157.32 over Riccardi’s 9.270@147.97.
Richard Preiser was set to take on Don Bowles, but Preiser decided to pack it up after saying that he hasn’t happy with the track surface. Bowles enjoyed a free bye run into the semis.
Charlie Booze got a bye run into the semis.
Real Street
Bruce Hemminger knocks out Jim Bresse with a 9.562@142.70 after something went a miss on Bresse’s car right after the 60 foot mark bringing that car to a roll not under a lot of power anymore.
Paul Wiley left after Dave Ginter but Wiley ran him down hard ending with a 9.818@138.43 over Dave Ginter’s 10.145@138.53.
Tim Mathery had a great run against Madd Matt Johnson. Johnson cut a better light than Mathery, but Mathery had a better 60 foot time and never looked back. Mathery ended up running a 9.592@141.89 to advance to the next round.
Factory Stock
Jay Dold knocked out Brian Marr when he ran a 11.592@117.67 over Marr’s 11.990@114.20.
John Leslie’s car sounded and ran great against Zane Reed. Leslie ran a ran an 11.588@118.17 over Reed’s 12.174@111.87.
Jim St Charles had a free bye run when Jermey Taylor didn’t show up to the line. The unconfirmed rumor is that Taylor cracked his block yesterday. Either way St Charles ran a 11.693@116.82.
Tommy Godfrey had a bye run where he ran a 11.426@119.58.
