After winning NMRA’s Pro Outlaw Dan Millen has to face Troy Coughlin, who was the winner of NMCA’s Pro Street class. Dan runs his fastest pass of the day with a 6.67 at 215 over Troy’s 6.34 at 222.
Jim Bliar took the win in Super Street and will face Super Street Outlaw winner John Kolivas. Kolivas takes over .07 advantage on the tree and wins with his slowing 7.57 but Blair slowed even more with a 7.34 to give John Kolivas his 6th ring. I believe he has 3 championship rings and now 3 Super Bowl rings.
Kevin Parent has been dominant this weekend running through the Nostalgia Pro Street class and faces Dan Rawls, the Renegade winner, in the Super Bowl race. Kevin cuts a .009 light and quickly runs Dan down with a 7.40 to take the win over Rawls 8.53.
Mark Anderson has had the quickest car in Pure Street all weekend on his way to a Super Bowl matchup against Don Baskin. Don gets a .02 advantage on the tree and takes the win with a 10.00 over Mark’s 10.27. Don took the win in NMCA’s Mean Street class.
Skip Baskin took the NMCA Pro Stock title for the Rt. 66 race and got to face Charlie Booze, who won NMRA’s Hot Street class. In the Super Bowl race Charlie cut the tree down with a .092 advantage but his car slowed to an 8.77 and Baskin ran an 8.49 for the win.
Bruce Hemminger was the class of the Real Street field running under the current record almost every pass on his way to the shootout race. He would face Brad Shehr who took out the Street Race field. Bruce left first and ran a 9.48 but it was not enough to stay ahead of Brad who ran an 8.83.
Bob Kurgan won the Extreme Street class with a hole shot win to make the shoot out race to face Enzo Pecchini who ran through the NMRA Drag Radial field. Kurgan continued the trend of strapping a hole shot on his opponent with a huge advantage over Enzo. Bob ran an 8.17 and Enzo slowed to a 9.70.
Tommy Godfrey was at the top of NMRA’s Factory Stock all day and would meet NMCA’s Nostalgia Super Stock class winner Mike Moss. Moss had been knocking the tree down all day with .009 lights. But he was a little too quick on the tree handing the win to Tommy Godfrey who ran a 11.15 in the shoot out race.
