Final Round Results
Factory Stock Final

Tommy Godfrey continues to run in the teens or faster for the weekend with an 11.16 for the win over Dold. Dold had been as quick as 11.27 this weekend but was only able to run an 11.35 and both cars slowed to 117 mph.

Pure Street Final

Mark Anderson has been on a tear this weekend being quick for every round and busts off a 10.25 at 122for the win over Ryan Hecox's 10.27 at 129 mph.

Real Street Final

Hemminger takes the win when Pickel does not make the call with electrical troubles. Hemminger shows up for his first race of the weekend and makes almost every pass under the current record. He did not run it out in the final since he was on a competition bye.

Hot Street Final

Bowels was running off his normal pace for the first round of eliminations but still got the win. He made a converter change and that is just what the car wanted. But it was still not enough to get by the super consistant Charlie Booze. Booze gets the win with 8.64 at 155 over Bowles 8.68 at 152.

Drag Radial Final

Jason Lee has been undefeated for the year and been running in the sevens. Things changed this weekend when he did not make a pass in the sevens. Enzo Pechinni had one of the most consistand days in Drag Radial. Enzo ran 8.08, 8.09, 8.01 and an 8.01 in eliminations today to take the win. This is Enzo's first first NMRA win.

Renegade

Bart Tobner had been running in the 8.50's most of the weekend and it was good enough to get him to the finals. Dan Rawls had been as quick as 8.44 today in eliminations. Dan had an issue with his hatch being open but it was not to stop him from winning on a hole shot. Dan's 8.52 beat Bart's 8.50.

Super Street Outlaw

John Kolivas has set SSO on its ear showing up with Mickey Thompson Drag radials and had an issue to work out on which size he could run. John Urist was his normal self running consistantly between high 7.30's and low 7.40's. Kolivas has set the new record for running on a radial and lowered it in the final with a 7.32 to take the win over Urist's red light.

Pro Outlaw

Dan Millen has been fighting new car blues all weekend but got them taken car of in time to win the event over west coast racer Doug Sikora. Sikora had been the quickest car all weekend until the finals when Millen stepped up with a 6.72 to beat Doug's 6.76.

Super Bowl Shootout Results
After winning NMRA’s Pro Outlaw Dan Millen has to face Troy Coughlin, who was the winner of NMCA’s Pro Street class. Dan runs his fastest pass of the day with a 6.67 at 215 over Troy’s 6.34 at 222.

Jim Bliar took the win in Super Street and will face Super Street Outlaw winner John Kolivas. Kolivas takes over .07 advantage on the tree and wins with his slowing 7.57 but Blair slowed even more with a 7.34 to give John Kolivas his 6th ring. I believe he has 3 championship rings and now 3 Super Bowl rings.

Kevin Parent has been dominant this weekend running through the Nostalgia Pro Street class and faces Dan Rawls, the Renegade winner, in the Super Bowl race. Kevin cuts a .009 light and quickly runs Dan down with a 7.40 to take the win over Rawls 8.53.

Mark Anderson has had the quickest car in Pure Street all weekend on his way to a Super Bowl matchup against Don Baskin. Don gets a .02 advantage on the tree and takes the win with a 10.00 over Mark’s 10.27. Don took the win in NMCA’s Mean Street class.

Skip Baskin took the NMCA Pro Stock title for the Rt. 66 race and got to face Charlie Booze, who won NMRA’s Hot Street class. In the Super Bowl race Charlie cut the tree down with a .092 advantage but his car slowed to an 8.77 and Baskin ran an 8.49 for the win.

Bruce Hemminger was the class of the Real Street field running under the current record almost every pass on his way to the shootout race. He would face Brad Shehr who took out the Street Race field. Bruce left first and ran a 9.48 but it was not enough to stay ahead of Brad who ran an 8.83.

Bob Kurgan won the Extreme Street class with a hole shot win to make the shoot out race to face Enzo Pecchini who ran through the NMRA Drag Radial field. Kurgan continued the trend of strapping a hole shot on his opponent with a huge advantage over Enzo. Bob ran an 8.17 and Enzo slowed to a 9.70.

Tommy Godfrey was at the top of NMRA’s Factory Stock all day and would meet NMCA’s Nostalgia Super Stock class winner Mike Moss. Moss had been knocking the tree down all day with .009 lights. But he was a little too quick on the tree handing the win to Tommy Godfrey who ran a 11.15 in the shoot out race.
