The NMRA has once again put together a master scheme to try and bring the fastest street legal Mustangs together in one place for a one-of-a kind shootout. During the 2009 World Finals, they will host a King of the Street competition for the wildest Mustangs. There is one big rule, you have to run on Nitto NT555R Extreme Drag Radials.

King of the Street is a competition designed to pick the most powerful Mustang while remaining street quality. Those that are chosen to compete will be graded on some key areas, including a, instant cold start, stable idle, working air conditioning, and a working stereo. Point deductions will also be made throughout the judging process for things like manual steering and other race parts.

It is a simple process for those racers who would like to get in the mix. Just submit an application to 5.0 & Super Fords Magazine with photos of your car including the engine and a modifications list. Times slips and dyno sheets are a plus that will add to the credibility of your car along with bettering your chances of being chosen. Get our application in by August 28th and you will even receive a set of the NT555R drag radials in a size of your choice if your are one of the ten chosen.
