Dan Millen had a hairy ride mid track as the car violently shot towards the center lane, hitting a cone and voiding his run. Dan attributes the problem with an aggressive clutch setup, though he said that the starting line was amazing during the night time qualifier.
Keith Neal managed the only 6 second pass of the round with a 6.911 @ 207.43 mph.
Super Street Outlaw has an impressive 13 car field where we were all shocked with Chris Tutens number one qualifying attempt with a 7.429 @ 192.55 mph. Class champ John Urist had an unusual 150 foot wheel spin and we are happy to report that Sam Vincent is here with his new combination, sitting in the fifth spot with a 7.795 @ 140.24 mph.
Larry Hourcle snatched the Renegade record from current points leader Dan Rawls with 8.325 @ 162.67 mph. Unfortunately we didn't get a shot of Larry since he was in the opposite lane of what we were shooting. Class points leader Dan Rawls sits in second with a 8.546 @ 159.76 mph.
Sean Lyon has been on a tare all year as he has found the solution to getting his power to the ground. Sean sits in the number one spot in Drag Radial with a 8.066 @ 176.07 mph. The team was swapping out turbos since the ball bearings were overdue for a swap out. If Sean does well this weekend, he can squeak away with the third spot in the Drag Radial championship
Charlie Booze sits in first in Hot Street currently with a 8.639 @ 156.55 mph. Brian Booze, 2002 Hot Street champion and Charlie's brother, currently sits in the seventh spot.
Bruce Hemminger in Real Street, still on his push rod combination, beat his own record with a 9.555 @ 140.11 mph. Sitting close behind him with another respectable run with a 9.616 @ 142.69 mph is Jim Breese.
Shawn Johnson sits in the first spot in Pure Street with a 10.240 @ 131.81 mph. Sitting close in second is Steve Gifford with a 10.250 @ 131.91 mph. Eric Burkhart had a nice wheel stand past us and ended up in the number eight spot.
Tommy Godfrey continues his tare in Factory Stock with a 11.195 @ 118.99 mph. Tommy has the Factory Stock championship locked up and will keep the number one for the 2010 year.
