NHRA shortens T/F and F/C to 1000'

What do you guys think about this, personally, I think it was a political move. I know it had the backing of PRO, but it just seems to be a reaction to me in response to public criticism.

I might be off base. Thoughts?

I'm sure it's a bit knee jerk. I think they need to do this ONLY at the tracks that have limited runoff such as E-Town. But the tracks with ample runoff should be run to the 1320.

Yeah, I agree. Is there a web site where I can get a full listing of all of the racetracks with shutdowns?

James heres a list of the tracks on the NHRA schedule. You would have to look up each track individually to get the track lengths.

I believe there is an NHRA mandated shut down length, isn't there. Because some of the older tracks weren't long enough and were eliminated from the schedule.
